Slip N' Slide Fun

One of the things were eager to do with our new backyard is to get a Slip N' Slide for the kiddos.

It was kind of a dud, actually .... not much water sprays up and the kiddos are too young to do the "slipping" part.   But they still had fun.

We started to discover the ground underneath the grass was getting soft and we were making impressions into it with our feet   So an e-mail to the landscaper revealed we aren't supposed to get the grass soaking wet like that   No water sports, he tells us now.    Great ......

The Most Creative Excuse to Not Clean Up

Now I have heard everything! 

I asked the kids to clean up the living room, and they did so for a few minutes. 

Christian just said to me, "Mommy, I cannot clean up anymore because, I'm having a baby. And I shall name it ... ummmm ... I shall name it Alexandra."

Pretty clever excuse for a six year old BOY. 

But he still has to clean the living room even if he is with child. My cleaning duties never stopped when I was pregnant ... twice.
