Today we learned our offer on the home in California has been accepted.
The home is 10 years old, and quite a bit smaller than our current home. But we have less furniture than the current homeowners, so I think we'll fit nicely.
Overall, the home is a bit too "brown" for me, so we'll be painting the interior right away to give it a more "beachy feel." :)
The official despcription of the home is:
Desirable Westside, this Petersen Ranch home is located on a corner lot
with mature lush landscaping in the front and back yards. The living
room offers an open floor plan with a custom cast stone mantel that
surrounds the gas fireplace. The kitchen opens up to the living room and
has granite counter tops, beautiful beveled tile back-splash with under
counter lighting, recessed lighting and an over-sized peninsula island.
Step outside into the fenced yard with concrete patio, pergola, raised
garden beds and mature landscaping that creates privacy. Custom paint,
private master suite on one side of the home, custom hardwood flooring
throughout make this a Templeton find!
Interestingly, the master suite is set up EXACTLY as it is in our Verrado home. Crazy!!

Christian's Third Surgery
At long last, Christian had surgery yesterday to remove and unusual mass on his upper thigh.
He was very calm on the drive, and remained calm until the nurses started touching him to start the IV process. Happily, they have somebody whose specific job is to come in and help the kids understand what's going on, reassure them, etc. And she was absolutely fantastic!
Everything went well, and today is the day after and Christian is back to his normal self!
We wait one week for the biopsy results but the doctor doesn't seem too concerned. He said it look like at some point Christian had a huge charlie horse (which confuses me because the mass was above the muscle, not in the muscle).
