Christian Swims the Length of the Pool

Today we got some video footage of Christian swimming the length of the pool.  It was towards the end of class, and he was a bit tired ... but he did it! :)

Christian has a new teacher, and she's the first to ever throw them into the air.  He thought it was pretty cool! :)

Christian's Spring 2013 Concert

Tonight was Christian's final concert at this school, and he did a great job!  They were supposed to dress in western attire - whatever they happened to already have.  All we had was a plaid shirt (thanks to Granny and Grandpa!  We sure are getting lots of use from this shirt:  his school pictures, his Easter outfit, and now Western attire for his concert!).

 

The audio isn't the best.  They sang "Home on the Range" and "Oh, Susanna!"

 

 

"Flat Stanley" joined us, too.   Our niece, Alexia, sent him to stay with us for a week.  We'll keep a journal of everything he does with us, and then send it to Alexia's teacher.

 

And, AND ... we found out that the school Christian will be attending in the fall is going to be building a campus RIGHT HERE in our community.   WOW!!  SOOO EXCITED to hear that news!

Happy Birthday to Papa!

Happy Birthday to our Awesome Papa!!

 

He really is the best Papa EVER!  He loves us so much, and makes sure we always know it.  He's always got time for us, plenty of patience and lots of energy.  He plays with us, reads to us and give us lots of hugs and kisses.

 

One of Papa's greatest talents is being able to put Scarlett to sleep (she sure is feisty!) when Mommy can't.  And we are ALL thankful for this particular talent.

 

We love our Papa!!

Zumbatonic!

Every Wednesday night, I go to a Zumba class in our neighborhood.  Last week, the instructor started holding classes for kiddos age 4 - 11.  I just KNEW Christian would love Zumba.  He's so cute and energetic!!

Easter 2012

We had such a nice Easter!  We went to church, which is always packed on Easter, but the kids did great!   Then Auntie Liz came over and we did our egg hunt in the late afternoon, and had a nice dinner together.

 

 

I came across "How to boil the perfect egg" online, so I gave it a try.  Should have stuck with the process I've always used, becuase all of our eggs were terribly undercooked.  GROSS!!!

 

Scarlett was done with the day ...

The Easter Egg Hunt and BBQ

Today was the annual Easter Hunt and BBQ for a play group I belong to.  We had a great time!

Here's the group photo.  I love that Christian is at the top of the play structure and actually looking at the camera.  I figured he'd be long gone by the time the picture was taken.  But there he is!! :)
