We were blessed with a delightfully wet winter (something we're not used to after living for nearly 10 years in Phoenix). As a result, California is in the midst of a "Super Bloom" of flowers throughout the state. We were thrilled to have found an area relatively close to go check out this natural phenomenon.

A Visit to a New Friend's Home
Scarlett has a new friend in her class, Devyn, and she was invited to Devyn's home for playdate. The home resides on 22 acres and I was absolutely blown away by the beauty surrounding their property! (Click on photos to view larger versions). WOW!!

Christian's Book Cover Project
Christian gets some pretty big projects in 4th grade. For this particular project, the students had to create a book cover for an award-winning book. Christian selected "Holes" by Louis Sachar and did a mighty find job with the artwork!!

Date Night for the Luceros!
We are so thankful that Jonathan's employer hosts a "Kids Night Out" event at their gymnastics school! That event allows for date nights for Mommy and Daddy! Tonight we ate at a fantastic restaurant right on the beach. And Jonathan had several "Boulevardiers" after being unable to find the drink in the Phoenix area. A mighty fine evening was had by all! :)

Friday Date on the Coast
Since Jonathan is typically off work on Fridays, we sometimes go out for a morning date. Today, we traveled up the beautiful and scenic "Highway 46," also known as the Templeton Gap. With all of the winter rains, the hills are the most remarkable, vibrant shade of green. I love that this drive takes us directly from our house to the coast in about 1/2 hour!
