I think this particular "green smoothie" had kale, parsley, carrots, rice milk and a banana to sweeten it up.
Green smoothies are based on the theory that most of us don't eat enough vegetables (specifically "greens" such as kale, collard greens, or any of the greens that grow on top of foods such as carrots, beets, etc - which is actually the most nutritions part of the plant).
So I just blend together whatever veggies / greens look good at the moment ... and often toss in a banana to make it sweet and tasty.
Green smoothies are extremely good for you and taste pretty good, too! So I like to give Christian a taste here and there ... that way he gets his veggies, too! :)
